Hi! And welcome to Be the Sunshinee!
I’m super excited to be back writing and sharing my life with you guys today!! It has defintiley been a hot minute (over a month and a half!) and let me tell you, LIFE HAS BEEN ABSOULTEY INSANE but in the best way possible. I keep saying 2019 is the year hell froze over because so many things have happened in the past few weeks that I never would have imagined. Let’s start at the beginning.
The biggest reason I took such a long unexpected break from social media is because at the end of March Andrew and I broke up, for good. Which has been super weird but also very liberating. I have always been extremely independent but it also feels like for one of the first times in my life I’m actually all the way on my own. Which is exciting but also very terrifying. Andrew moved out and took Coop with him which has been so sad. I really miss that shithead and it honestly breaks my heart watching him grow up from afar but I’m so happy he’s such a happy pup. I’m not going to share too much about the break up because I still care about Andrew and his friends and family. So out of respect for all parties involved I will be keeping all the details on the DL, at least for now. But if you are going through something similar and want to chat my DMs are always open! It’s been a very weird roller coaster of emotions both good and bad, happy and sad, but nonetheless all necessary. At this point in time I’m just trying to keep my head and spirits high and focus on all the incredible things happening for me this year!
The next big thing that happened didn’t really start as a big thing. Just a friend helping her homegirl out. My bestie girl Ellie has had an insane past few weeks herself, so when she got kicked out of her house with 2 (YES TWO) days notice I said, “Bitch just stay here!”. It was the day Andrew and I officially broke things off and Ellie was only staying for 3ish weeks until she seperated from the Air Force. Well, plot twist. Ellie said, “Surprise bitch. I bet you thought you’d seen the last of me.” And homegirl is EXTENDING FOR ANOTHER YEAR!!!!
Drum roll please….. NOW WE ARE BESTIEMATES. (That’s roommates and besties combined).
You may not think that’s a huge deal so let me explain.
1- Ellie has been DEAD set on getting out of the Air Force basically since the day I met her 2.5 years ago. That was literally still her game plan until 3/4 weeks ago. So that in and of itself is enough to cause hell to freeze over.
2- I’ve preached and preached that I NEVER wanted a roommate. I never wanted to be roommates with anybody besides my sisters. And I especially NEVERRR wanted to be roommates with somebody I work with. Ellie checks every single one of those boxes and it’s actually been the BEST THING EVER. We are now proud owners of apartment #pranksterz.
Other than that I’ve been trying to live my happiest life. I went home in the beginning of April to surprise my parents and little brother for my brothers birthday which made my heart happy as can be. I finally got to watch my brother wrestling and of course he kicked ass. I’ve been studying my ass off for my promotion test which I took on the 13th so now I just have to wait for results to come out in August! I’m so glad that is done and over with. I also started COLLEGE CLASSES this week which is insane because I hateee school and honestly never saw myself pursuing a bachelors degree. But now I’ve discovered what I want to do when I get out of the Air Force which requires a masters degree so I guess I better get used to it. I’m super excited to be a student again but also super nervous. I got my nose repierced! I got it pierced back in high school but it had been probably about 2 years since I worn a nose ring so it was slightly closed. Luckily since I was able to pierce it in the same spot the healing process has been cake. I think I know for sure what I want my next tattoo to be, I just have to figure out when I want to get it! I made THE best purchase of 2019 so far- I bought a microphone. It has been so damn fun and amplified my jam sesh/ dance parties by a million. So 10/10 on that decision.
My mom is coming to visit me next week which I’m super excited about!! And then I’m going back home to visit my family again AND go to CMA Fest which I am ESTATIC about. I’ve wanted to go to CMA fest for yearssss and I absolutely adore Nashville. I’ve also got a tripped planned to Dallas next month and I’m going to a freakin Thomas Rhett Concert!!!!! I love TR so much.
I’m possibly planning a trip to Florida in July and then I’m excited to just relax and enjoy the summer for awhile!
Work is going well, school will hopefully continue to go well, and life as a whole has been pretty sweet.
Bella and I (especially Bella) are still adjusting to a new normal and figuring out our way as single ladies but I am unbelievably grateful and excited to watch the rest of 2019 unfold. Although it’s had some huge changes that I never saw coming I still believe it’s going to be a magical year. I’m just taking it one step at a time, enjoying the little things, and trying to better myself with each new day.
I am SO excited to be back writing and blogging and can’t wait to share my next blog post with you all about my experience with Smile Brilliant.
HUGEEE shout out to everybody who has stuck beside me through my absence, reached out to ask me if I’m okay, or simply been a shoulder to cry on. Not a single one of you goes unnoticed and I could never express how thankful I am to have the support system that I do.
You all are incredible. I hope you all are #livingyourhappiestlife.
